COOK

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Preferably knowledgeable and experienced in food preparation.
  2. Demonstrates cooperativeness and willingness to acquire added skills in the area of nutrition and related areas.
  3. Must have a food handlers license.

 

REPORTS TO:   Head Cook

 

JOB GOAL:  To assist the head cook in serving students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. To serve students attractive and nutritious meals in a friendly, efficient, and clean atmosphere.
  2. To assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
  3. To assume responsibility for seeing to it that the supply of food offered is replenished regularly during meal service periods.
  4. To assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas.
  5. To perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the head cook.
  6. To assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused food.
  7. To perform other assigned tasks as required by the immediate supervisor



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Work year-184 days-6 hours daily-salary to be determined according to salary schedule.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the school board’s policy on evaluation of Supportive Services Personnel.
