QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Properly certified.
2. Knowledgeable in area of assignment;
3. Preferably experienced and competent in required shills of the assigned sport and/or academic competitions;
4. JOB GOAL:     to help each participating student achieve a high level of skill and appreciation for the

                      Supervisor, as assigned and applicable. Superintendent of schools-General Supervisor

1. Coach/Sponsor individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport or academic competition involved and promote school spirit and price.
2. Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
3. Work closely with the Activity Coordinator or Athletic Director and Principal in scheduling practice sessions, intra-mural, inter-scholastic contests and activities.
4. Will inform Activity Coordinator or Athletic Director of any cancellation of practice sessions, games and/or need or transportation services.
5. Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork.
6. Supervise athletes at all times and oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
7. Establish performance criteria and rules for eligibility including; grades for participation in extra-curricular competitions.
8. Establish written rules and consequences for social conduct, (enforce rules and consequences) via Athlete’s Agreement and meet with parents of athletes regarding rules and consequences.
9. Enforce rules, discipline and sportsman like behavior at all times and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
10. Travel with athletes, assist coaches and/or sponsors to and FROM for supervision purposes, unless other comparable arrangements are made accordingly with the approval of the Athletic Director or Activity Coordinator, as applicable.
11. Comply with NMAA Rules and Regulations as well as with School Board Policy.
12. Actively participate in fund raising activities for meals, lodging, equipment, uniforms, tennis shoes, tee shirt, summer programs and transportation for activities.
13. On a daily basis, oversee that gym floor and other playing areas are clean and safe, inclusive of bleachers.
14. On a daily basis, make sure that custodian/maintenance personnel keep the gymnasium/multi-purpose building clean at all times to include: storage areas, lobby, concession areas, weight room, rest rooms/showers, office, track field, baseball field and tennis court.

17. Log all out-going long distance telephone calls and fax transmittals.
18. Seek scholarships for student/athlete participants who excel and are in “Good Standing” by communicating with universities, colleges and scouts.
19. Implement effective and/or required appropriate dress code for athletes.
20. Communicate monthly or sooner as the need arises, with parents regarding athlete(s) and/or participant(s).
21. Attend school board meetings at the request of the Superintendent or his/her authorized designee.
